If you want to get the bestfood Rhode Island has to offer, you better head over to a ProvidenceRestaurant. There is plenty of great food but the necessity in Providence isgoing through the range of your selections to locate the best diningestablishment. The initial move in deciding where to eat is determining thecircumstances for your excursion to a restaurant in Providence. The next stepwill be ascertaining the type of food that you so desire in the firstplace. If you are looking for a casualevening with a co-worker or some friends, you have plenty of options. Becauseof the plentiful Italian-American populace in Rhode Island there are an excessof pasta joints and old-school Italian restaurants that can provide a greatmeal. One of the disadvantages though, is that some of these restaurants arevery expensive and overly pretentious.

Now that we have established that Providence has alot to offer the taste buds it is time to try to understand what makes some ofthese fine culinary gems stand out. Everyone always expects that the firstthing I will discuss is the food, but this not the case. There are so manyelements to the dining experience at a Providence Restaurant that overlooked bylay people. I hope that my extensive experience with fine foods and therestaurant industry may allow me to help shed light on the full scope of thedining experience. For me, the dining experience begins as soon as I hear thename of the restaurant. It is important that the name conveys whatever messagethe restaurant is trying to send. If it is something to fancy or silly, theexperience will be marred right off the bat. The same ting goes for the dcorof restaurant. I am not implying that I will only like a place if it is fancy.I am trying to say that, especially with a Providence Restaurant, thename and external appearance should help convey whatever message it isintending to sell. This helps to shape the diners perception early on and willoften lay the framework for an enjoyable evening.

This next subject is an oftenoverlooked but undeniably important part of the experience, particularly atfancy restaurants. When you walk in to the dining establishment, you firstinteraction with an employee is at the host stand. A restaurant can make a hugeimpression at this juncture in the experience. If this is a fancy restaurant, the host will act in one of two ways. They will either be very helpful andfriendly with a healthy hint of condescension or ice cold, unfriendly andopenly disdainful. These traits are there to make the venue seem more elite. Ifguests feel that their classiness is challenged in these environments, theywill be more likely to recall the restaurant as classy because being classyis all about maintaining a man-made illusion of superiority. At non-pretentiousrestaurants, all that is required to make a good impression is a helpful andfriendly person at the host stand. It also does not hurt if they are welldressed and attractive.
